SERVICING AUSTRALIA FOR OVER 70 YEARS
Once ‘de-mobbed’ after the War in 1945 Stanley Dewar set out on his own and started a small business in Boxhill Victoria called Dewar Machinery Supplies. Stan spent a couple of years distributing machinery and engineering parts to the engineering industry from his home on Elagr Road Boxhill and slowly built it up enough to move into a small office space. As the demand increased Dewar Machinery Supplies outgrew its small office, moving to Elizabeth Street Melbourne in 1947. This is where Dewar Machinery supplies evolved and Rotary Tools was born.
Stanley would travel to the Melbourne show and country fairs, demonstrating machinery to farmers who were setting up their paddocks after the war. Nothing was ever too much or out of reach for Rotary Tools. With this attitude Stanley built a reputation for himself over the years, Rotary tools becoming the “house” to go to for specialised knowledge and customer service.
From 1947 ’til now Rotary Tools has moved to multiple locations in and around Melbourne, adapting to changes in the industry. Now located at 1/44 Mahoneys Road Thomastown we have over 70 Years experience supplying Power Tools, abrasives and service to businesses all across Australia in a variety of industries.
